Keenings

[Reworked older rhyming poem. Beautiful image above by Tzahi Finkel.]

Keenings

not for land nor men
do milk and honey flow

not for the poet’s pen
does any tree grow

not for my wanting
does anything exist

not in the hunting
does the hunted find bliss

only in the sorrows
do men find meanings

only in the joys
are hidden subtle keenings
