the weight it ways

[An older poem of mine. Read aloud, the sound is an important part of this one.]

the weight it ways

God said to Abraham kill me a son…
– Bob Dylan

the way it weighs
the way it plays

itself the way
it seeks itself

the way it sees
into suns blinded

by sound the whey
it turns, burns

its ways the turns
it plays the son

it kills, sounds
it thrills the whey

it weighs the way
it ways, pays

o Abrahaac

  2. Reblogged this on nickweechblog's Blog and commented:
I dont quite get it of course, yet, but its from that aural world we mostly neglect and its intense link with deeper thoughts: Hence music has power both to soothe and to rouse – sometimes when we really listen harder.

  3. Where did you have this killing done? 🙂
Lovely, agree with @reddfish2014 It seems to mean something different every time.

  4. “…tear your eyes from Paradise and come back to us somehow
And if you run into Jesus, maybe he can help us out
Come back Woody Guthrie to us now.”
