Marla Spivak, Why Bees Are Disappearing

[A great TED talk outlining the four interactive reasons bees are disappearing with grave consequences for pollination and food security: pesticides, diseases, agricultural monocultures and flowerless landscapes, as well as what we can do: plant flowers (and trees) everywhere, don’t use pesticides. I’d add: organise a movement to boycott chemical companies destroying the world. I keep a hive or two myself. There’s nothing more fascinating. Please help spread the word about bees. It’s one of the many critical tipping points we are approaching unless we start getting organised and change the system of power and greed].
