Nature imitating Albert Tucker

Albert Tucker (1914-99), Australian artist, involved in the art politics and magazine of the  modernist ‘Angry Penguins’ group in 1943-44, profoundly affected by a visit to Hiroshima in 1947, spent thirteen years in Europe, first popularity in Australia only during the 1960s. The photo of the burnt stump was taken near Abraham’s Bosom Beach at Currarong, NSW.
